Topic: Webapp Security Fengshui (Hong Kong Edition)
Speaker:
Anthony Lai, founder and security researcher, Valkyrie-X Security Research Group (VXRL)
Abstract:
Even we are not fengshui master who could be digging holes for billion dollars, other than money, we feel interested in getting a list of vulnerabilities which are undercovered or cannot be managed by most of the organizations. Since OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities have been promoted for nearly 7 years, many corporates have undertaken regular IT audit, security improvement (due to incident and loss?! ;-)) and penetration test in their Web applications, it's time to take a look whether they have done their "homework" well.Â
Common vulnerabilities and solutions will be briefed and we are welcomed any organization/companies to reach us to get the vulnerabilities list for remediation. A presentation for Macau will also be conveyed in Clean PC day in the mid of July.
Biography:
Anthony is passionate over threat analysis and offensive security research. Other than taking audit, penetration test and training assignment, he will be going to speak at Hack-In-Taiwan (www.hitcon.org) and DEFCON 19 (www.defcon.org) for targeted attack analysis with his Taiwanese research fellows.
He is certified as SANS GREM (Gold), GWAPT and GCFA for specialist tracks
